How to keep your muscles for a lifetime of strength & health!
When you invest in retirement, you expect to get much more out of it in the end than initially invested. What if you got less, a lot less? What if you didn't realize what was happening until you really needed it and the money wasn't there? Nightmare! A slow process starts in our bodies as early as our mid-thirties to forties. We don't even realize it until we are older and we need muscles that aren't there anymore. Our muscles slowly turn into fat. You may weigh the same but the inside of your body may look very different!
How to help keep your muscles....
**Spread your protein throughout the day. Your body can only absorb so much protein at one time. If you only get the majority of your protein at dinner, your body won't be able to absorb it all. Aim for around 25-30grams of protein with your meals. Include protein with your breakfast, replace chips with a snack of nuts or nut butters or mix fruit with Greek Yogurt.
**Keep Moving! Resistance exercises help keep your muscles strong! Use it or you may lose it!
